Allow Them To Grow

Sunday Stroll by Angel Latorre

“I think that the best thing we can do for our children is to allow them to do things for themselves, allow them to be strong, allow them to experience life on their own terms, allow them to take the subway... let them be better people, let them believe more in themselves.”

To My Daughter With Love

A mother tries to provide her daughter with insight
into the important things in life
in order to make her life
as happy and fulfilling as possible.

A mother tries to teach her daughter
to be good, always helpful to other people
to be fair, always treating others equally
to have a positive attitude at all times
to always make things right when they are wrong
to know herself well
to know what her talents are
to set goals for herself
to not be afraid of working too hard to reach her goals.

A mother tries to teach her daughter
to have many interests to pursue
to laugh and have fun every day
to appreciate the beauty of nature
to enter into friendships with good people
to honor their friendships and always be a good friend
and to particularly respect and love our elder members
to use her intelligence all times
to listen to her emotions
to adhere to her values

A mother tries to teach her daughter
to not be afraid to stick to her beliefs
to not follow the majority when the majority is wrong
to carefully plan a life for herself
to vigorously follow her chosen path
to enter into a relationship with someone worthy of herself
to love this person unconditionally with her body and mind
to share all that she has learned in her life with this person

If I have provided you with an insight
into most of these things
then I have succeeded as a mother
in what I hoped to accomplish in raising you
if many of these slipped by
while we were all so busy
I have a feeling you know them anyway
One thing I am sure of though,
I have taught you to be proud of the fact
that you are a woman equal to all men and
that I have loved you every second of your life
I have supported you at all times
as a mother, as a person, and as a friend
I will always continue to Cherish and love
everything about you
my beautiful daughter.

Tell Your Mom...

A Man Loves...

A man loves his sweetheart the most, his wife the best,
 but his mother the longest.

One Night With You (Truly A Gift of Love)

Life is a journey,
Unbounded and free
Within kaleidoscope of wonders for all to see,
Changing with every mile.
We have no control over what will happen next in our lives.

Still we go on…

When we meet,
We feel an intense, profound connection,
Our thoughts embrace within an ecstatic location of comfort and bliss.
A physical attraction is borne.
A spiritual affection is slowly awakening our true passions.
Our hearts and minds are intimately opened.

The strangest part is…
We don’t know how or when this happened.
But it did!

We find it is hard to walk away,
When we know each other’s heart so well.
We endure knowing we can’t touch or caress
To consummate our love.
We have to ignore the facts in our midst…
Our constant craving to experience no division, no separation;
Or the purest unity, joy and bliss imaginable.
Our bodies ache with passionate desires
And our hearts yearn to taste, to savor, the sweet hunger gnawing inside.

When I rest my eyes upon you,
Your wondrous beauty tantalizes my soul
And steals my breath away.
The agonizing pain is etched upon your face as well.
We become bleeding hearts within a dying realm.
Twin flames smoldering within private thoughts.

Each enters their secret realm.
Where private matters become apparent.
Both pondering the same thought,
Just one night with you is all I ask.
One night to show you all of my desires,
All of my secrets at last,
To melt your heart into mine
And watch our twin flames burn as one,
Just as they were designed.

Just one night with you,
So we both can admit
Our love for each other is way beyond friendship.
One night to feel the incredible tenderness of passion’s fire
Intensely ablaze within our hearts.
And to experience a rapturous journey
To carry us to a higher realm.
A fulfillment of unconditional, unselfish love.
A magical moment each of us will reach
Taking us on an inner journey
Bringing us to a powerful awareness of a newfound revelation.

Bringing to an end the longing desire,
Acknowledging a deeper connection,
Enmeshed, entangled with an extraordinary bond.
One night with you is all I need.
One night of transparent honesty
To see beyond the essence we carry within our souls.

One night with you
To make our love for each other truly known.
One night with you,
Truly a gift of love.

Stop Chasing...

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
